AIO 2024 Australian Informatics Olympiad

According to unofficial information, there are 30 spots available at the 2024 Australian December Olympiad training camp, with 9 spots reserved for girls and 21 spots reserved for boys. There is information online that 350 girls have entered the camp and 425 boys have entered the camp. Approximately 1000 people will participate in AIO competitions in 2024. Based on the top 10% of the gold medal ratio, approximately 100 students will receive AIO gold medals. However, the number of spots in the national training team is far less than the number of gold medal winners. The existence of this gap is mainly due to the fact that the gold medal standard is set based on a relatively wide range of participating groups, while the requirements for entering the training team are more stringent. It not only depends on the competition results, but also needs to comprehensively consider the athlete's grade, gender, school, and performance in the question bank, in order to reserve talents for the IOI national team. AMT has not yet announced the score line for the 2024 AIO cutoff this year. The first, second, and third questions are relatively easy, while the fourth, fifth, and sixth questions are more difficult. So the scores are heavily concentrated around 300 points. If you are interested in preparing for AIO in 2025, please contact us. Mathematics and informatics are closely related, and students who excel in informatics are bound to have strong mathematical abilities. We welcome outstanding students from AMC Australia to participate in our training.
