AIO and IOI? Who can join the Informatics Olympiad national team?

Can Australian PR represent Australia in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)? sure. Can Australian students studying in China participate? sure. Can Chinese students studying in Australia participate? sure. According to the AMT official website, in order to qualify for the selection of the Australian national team or its related training camps and activities, students must: 1 Compliant with IOI competition regulations. 2. Study in Australia and attend schools in Australia. 3. Able to fully participate in all Olympic activities. In addition, refugees, stateless persons, asylum seekers, or Australian citizens temporarily living overseas and studying in local schools are still eligible for selection and can contact AMT for further guidance. IOI requires participants to meet the following conditions: 1 During most of the period from September 1st to December 31st of the previous year, attended a high school or lower level school representing the country- Students who are studying abroad in degree programs at higher education institutions, either full-time or part-time, may choose to represent their country of nationality. On July 1st of the year of IOI - age not exceeding 20 years old. In theory, Australian PR, Australian overseas students, and international students in Australia can all be selected to join the IOI Australian national team. However, in practice, Chinese passport holders usually need to apply for visas from various countries, and Australian students in China find it difficult to participate in AMT's various training and activities. At the same level, Australian students in Australia will have an advantage. But if a student has exceptional talent and wins a gold medal, everything is not a problem, and all situations can be accepted. In recent years, there have been Chinese international students who have entered the National Informatics Training Camp through AIO, as well as Australian and PR students who are studying at Chinese international schools participating remotely in various Informatics Olympiad selection competitions in Australia.
